They have a great selection of beans to choose from, all locally roasted in small batches to ensure what you’re drinking is as fresh as can be, and their team are knowledgeable enough to answer any questions you might have. “Yes, you’ll find that this peaberry has a slightly fruitier aroma,” or, “Our breakfast blend uses a combination of Colombian and Costa Rican beans for a rich, nutty flavor, with a strong, alluring aroma that’ll really get you going in the morning.” Have you ever had a conversation like that with the barista at Starbucks? I’d be very surprised.





They’re also extremely proud of their cold brew coffee, of which they offer several varieties. You can always sample the classic house brew, which takes 48 hours to make and is then served over coffee ice cubes (so your coffee can be cold without ever getting watered down). But, we suggest you also give their nitrogen-infused varieties a shot. That’s right: cold coffee coming off the tap with a rich, foamy head similar to Guinness, for a creamy mouthfeel and an effervescent finish. And, that nitro brew is often available in flavors, like hazelnut or butter rum, which has been one of the shop’s top sellers.





With a name like Keys Coffee Co, the quality of the Java is front and foremost, but what is a pleasant surprise to many visitors is just how good the food is. The C-View is always a great place to while away a Sunday afternoon, but set up a tent in the parking lot, add some music, a ton of steamed crabs, and a bunch of people in silly hats and you can call it a party. Close the door on summer the C-View way with this annual event – it starts at noon and runs until 7-ish, or when they run out of crabs, whichever comes first. If crabs aren’t your thing, the full C-View menu is available outside – we’re partial to the corned beef sandwich. They’ll even have a TV outside for you diehard Eagles fans. Be there.

Spending a leisurely afternoon eating and sipping wine doesn’t sound like a trail-blazing activity, but it is on the Cape May Wine Trail. Sponsored by the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts & Humanities (MAC), it gets underway at noon today at the Emlen Physick Estate, where you’ll park your car for free and board the bus, which whisks you to Aleathea’s at the Inn of Cape May for lunch. After that, you’re off to visit two of the area’s finest wineries, Hawk Haven and Natali Vineyards, where you’ll learn how they produce your favorite vintages and then head to the tasting rooms for samples. The return of a jazz festival to the Cape May scene has been hotly anticipated, and you can find out all about it tonight at the Exit 0 International Jazz Festival Launch Party on the Congress Hall veranda. Free beer and wine are on tap, along with great food provided by the likes of Y.B. Eat Place, Mad Batter, Empanada Mama’s, and Louisa’s Chocolate Bar, among others. And, to whet your whistle for the Exit 0 Jazz Festival, there will also be live, New Orleans-style sound courtesy of the UCC Royal Brass Band. It’s usually white wine with fish and red wine with dark meats (usually), but what if you’re a beer drinker ?Well, then you can enjoy an awesome four-course dinner tonight by Chef Tai Menz at Aleathea’s at the Inn of Cape May, while beer authority and award-winning writer Gary Monterosso walks you through the how and why which beers pair best with which foods. Monterosso’ first book, Artisan Beer, was published last December, and he has written for several regional and national publications. You may sit down to your delectable Aleathea’s dinner a novice, but you’ll stand up a pro, as Monterosso discusses the pairings of beer with appetizer to soup to entrée to dessert. The elegantly casual environment of Aleathea’s is the perfect environment to enjoy Chef Tai’s healthy, organic, locally-sourced offerings. It’s five o’clock somewhere, but noon will do around here when the beer is as good as the offerings at Cape May Brewing Company. If you haven’t been there yet, today’s the perfect time. They’ll be offering their usual tours and tastings from noon-4pm, and will be celebrating the release of a new brew, their wet-hopped Cape May IPA, as well as the re-release of their Dunkelweizen. And, local favorite musician Will Knapp will be on hand from 1-3pm to provide great live acoustic entertainment.
