Barry’s Grand Ole Opry at West Cape May Borough Hall
18 Nov
If you’re going to hold a fundraiser for a Christmas parade, getting a bunch of singer-songwriters together to sing their favorite holiday ditties is a great way to do it. Throw in dinner and you can call it an evening. Barry’s Grand Ole Christmas Opry will be held tonight at 7:15 at the West Cape May Borough Hall, and if it’s half as good as Barry’s previous Opry offering, we can tell you it’s worth the price of admission. Hosted by local singer-songwriter Pied Piper Barry Tischler, along with “Minnie Pearl” (a/k/a Susan Tischler), tonight’s proceedings will feature local favorites like Debra Donahue, J.M. Kearns, Gordon Vincent, Bernadette Matthews, Jimm Ross, and Tom Naglee, among other talents. Santa will be stopping by as well. There will be a chicken pot pie dinner before the show at the West Cape May fire hall from 4-7pm – you can do either the show or dinner or both. Tickets are $20 for each, but if you do dinner and the show it’s only $30. Proceeds will benefit the West Cape May Christmas Parade, now in its 47th year. Come on out for a good food and a great show for an excellent cause. Tickets will be available at the door.
