October 13, 2012: Dragon Boat Festival at Cape May Harbor

Underway right now – it’s the very first Cape May Dragon Boat Festival, and it’s happening at the Harbor on Delaware Avenue from 9am-5pm. Lots of enthusiastic paddlers will be on hand to brave the 250-meter straight course to raise money for their favorite charities – “Team Stray Cat” is paddling for Animal Outreach, and you have to love the Kiwanis Club’s crew’s name, “Dragon Butts.” If you’re more of a standing-on-the-sidelines type, there will be vendors, entertainment and plenty of food – a picture-perfect way to spend a picture-perfect fall day.
