August 28: Angelus Chorus at Convention Hall

We’re told that the acoustics at the Cape May Convention Hall are glorious. And, what better way to put them to the test than by listening to the uplifted voices of the Angelus Chorus? The Angelus Chorus started in 1964, when a small group of area residents volunteered to sing Christmas carols at holiday times for the residents of the Angelus Convalescent Home in Wildwood. The Chorus then began performing at different community events, donating the proceeds to the Angelus residents. Even after the Convalescent Home closed, the Angelus Chorus continued performing, with proceeds going to various local organizations, like Volunteers In Medicine and Family Promise of Cape May County. Good music for good causes – the show starts tonight at 7pm, and this is a free event.
